I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Boot Camp: It could be worse

Boot camp involves a lot of hot dogs

And reminding Stumpy her focus should be on me.

Once we got the catching part down, we think we could handle that kind of boot camp. The Momster says her supply of hot dogs is totally depleted, guess she had best get out to the store.

Stumpy does very well leaving those misses alone. We would be jerking that leash to get to them.

Happy weekend.

OP Pack, She's doing better at leaving those missed catches, she's got a ways to go!

Brooke, hotdogs are the miracle food!

Kari, as long as there are hotdogs...

K9 and Grace, She's speshul, isn't she?

Khyra, I'm spitting those hotdogs at her. And yes, I am definitely out of practice!

Sugar, Stumpy is working hard for her treats, too, these days!

Lorenza, it takes a lot of practice!

Bailey! No hotdogs? that borders on abuse!

Mango, it does that, for sure! Almost enjoyable, even!

Hotdog Boot Camp. The only way to go. Have you ever sliced them then microwaved the wetness out of them(and it is longer than you would think)They are like dried liver bits look and don't leave a pocket messie. In training Bentley I buy the cheap hot dogs and use them that way. Also use the clicker, but have to back off it at times as he is sooo food driven he wants to eat the clicker. So far he has been in a restaurant-mostly empty-a motel lobby, elevator and a small store. He gets so dirty playing in the mud left from the snow that he needs a bath so often. lots easier to train when the weather is nicer..I think Stumpy is doing fantastic at leaving the ones not caught!

Yes, I recall the days of hotdogs when training Indy. We microwaved them, too. Nothing like cheeking a few hot dog pieces to keep your pup absolutely focused on your face!

Impressive! I don't think I'd be coordinated enough to launch hot dog bits from my mouth. My poor girls would have a lot more misses!
And how she ignores those misses- truly impressive!

Sunny, no treats in the pockets, here! I don't want her focusing on my hands or pockets!

Sallie, Stumpy says, "hotdogs are good for what ails you!"

K9Friend, If I have to put hotdogs in my mouth I prefer them to be fresh!

Booker, C'mon by! We could use some distractions around here!

ForPetsSake, it does take some practice, but the lousy shots are good practice for Stumpy's stay!
