I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Puppy Mill Barbie

I am not and never have been a fan of Barbie, so I love this post.

Yup! Let's teach our kids that supporting dog sales through pet shops and keeping dogs in cages is just fine. Way to go Mattel!

"Which came first: Stupid or Doll of Stupid?" is an awesome post by Gina Spadafori who blogs at Pet Connection

Not one of their brighter ideas.. it really is amazing all the things they come up with. When I was little, a Barbie was a Barbie.. maybe she had a pet, but they sell individual ones for just about everything under the sun.

Barbie's makers didn't make the best decision. Perhaps, they should have focused on Vet barbie, rather then littlest pet shop Barbie.

Sam, totally uncool and thoughtless. I have written a letter to let them know.

Khyra, Yup! Some of my comments were the same, others not really what I would put into print.

Heelers, Did your mom have the Bonanza set & Lone Ranger. I wanted Breyer horses soooooo bad when I was little, but they weren't in the budget.

Hank! thanks for visiting! I think the Mattel people aren't thinking or all they are thinking is $$$$$. Maybe they have a puppy mill of their own and are trying to drum up some business?

Mack And Sally Ann! How nice of you to drop by! Barbies people have tried some politically correct dolls, and Barbie the veternarian would have been a much better choice! Especially since so much of a vets business comes from puppy mill and pet shop puppies!

Yikes! Even as a small child, Barbie creeped me out. And it has gone downhill from there!

DG, creepy is a nice way of putting it!
