I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

coyote stakeout (part 1)

With the temperatures dropping Stumpy has moved the coyote watch inside...

There's something out there

Stop trying to distract me...it's annoying

Wait! Maybe there's a treat involved!

She's got nothing, back to work.

I haven't checked the front in awhile...

See anything now, Stumpy? How 'bout now?
... Now?

We heard a bunch of coyotes carrying on in the woods this evening - always gives me chills.

Khyra, it's more like how many did we see?

Heelers, don't worry, Stumpy does ok, in the treat department.

Tula, never too busy for you! Food always comes first with Stumpy, she'll never forget those days she went hungry!

LWD, A snuggie? Do they make them out of cotton? The static here is enough to blow your socks off...if you are wearing synthetics it's all over!

DG, don't get her going!!! I love the yotes' singing and yipping, it can be hair raising, though!

Hi there Stumpy, We don't have big bad things like coyotes down here in New Zealand, so we just do bird and cat watch... well, we'd rather chew the cat than watch it, but Mom won't let us .... unfair we think.... we only want to nibble it a little bit....

I don't think I'd want to chase a coyote.. well... yes I would. Who am I trying to fool. I haven't seen one around here in a while.. just the foxy lady that runs the neighborhood in the morning.

Hmmm I didn't know our ears matched the tip of your buttocks. Very cute.

I don't think i've ever seen a coyote-but people have called me a coyote before! Did you see one while you were on watch?

Good job Stumpy! Coyote watching is an honorable occupation.
