I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

This is REALLY important!!!

Christina, who blogs at Soul Aperture is asking for participation from those who would like to help the people of Haiti.

Christina's plan is simple. Her family will donate a dollar to Doctors Without Borders to aid in Haiti's recovery for each participant who blogs about the joys of the simple things in life and leave a link in her comment section.

Without further ado here are a few of mine...

Of course, it should go without saying, waking up in the morning with my first cup of coffee and my blog list; among them, Sandra's blog, where I discovered Christina's proposal.

My son, family and friends.

a cuppa, someone elses cooking and hot spiced cider.

the moon, rainbows and falling stars

camping, waking up on the beach or in the woods.

The beach, trees and lilies.

horses wandering through my yard and 'yotes yippin'

moonlit nights

morning dew on petals and leaves, hummingbirds and butterflies

Owls in flight, hawks soaring

The dark of night and solitude.

hugs, a shared giggle and the smiles of children

Random acts of kindness and sharing.

People working together.

Thanks, Christina for makining it so easy and fun to help a little!

You live so far away and yet we both have 'yotes and horses in our yards!
I'm glad you decided to join the endeavor. I just found Christina yesterday, so we are both new.

I have to say I also love these things, except camping. That I don't do. : ) But it sure sounds good.

It's amazing how much we have to be thankful for - and how easy it is to take for granted. Great reality check post...

A very nice story through words and pictures. In Canada, the government will match dollars to registered charities, so we are going with the Menonite Central Committee.
good luck with your ventures and your puppy

Sandra, thank for posting it so I could pass it on! We are worlds apart in some ways, but closer probably than either of us could imagine, in others! I love love love waking up in the middle of nowhere and camping on and doing it on horseback is the BEST EVAH!

Deborah, it was an easy way to do a lil sumpin'.

Sam, glad you liked the idea and even more glad if you share it!

LWD, I find myself doing frequent reality checks. Even more frequent after doing this post!

Heelers, the best part about it is that it is so danged easy!

Steve, Thanks for checkingout my blog! The Mennonite Central Charity is an awesome hardworking charity (read: low overhead so the money goes where it's needed!) I am glad you are doing what you can!
