I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

A week in Apple Town

It rained from Kansas to Thursday, so poor Stumpy didn't get her swim, as promised.

Kuzzin Booker came to play on Wednesday

Booker is a 90 pound Briard

On Thursday Stumpy finally got to the lake for a swim

And she's been swimming every day, since.

Friday we went to BFF Baxter's house for a pool party and frog hunting expedition, but that will have to wait. We are sitting in front of the library and the laptop batter is about to die.

We haven't had much luck with internet access so our blog visits have been cut short. We promise to visit when we can!

Stumpy looks like Riley when you're getting ready to throw that red holey ball for her... She's on her toes pouncing one way to the other anticipating the throw. Glad to see you two are having a good time and that Stumpy is getting to swim!!

Woo Hoo - Stumpy must have loved that water. Mom thinks Booker is beautiful but sure wouldn't want to have to keep his furs brushed.

Why is it that when I see a Briard I think of those old cartoons with the sheepdogs punching time cards in/out from work? Anybody remember those? (showing my age)

You know, I thought we had a long drive coming up ( this next week) but you all should win some sort of cross country prize. I'm guessing Stumpy could teach Stella a thing or two about swimming. She loves the water but still refuses to step off into the "deep end" :) Have a safe trip.

That Booker is a furry one.. Looks like a big mop. He probably would be good at sweeping up dirt in dirtville.. So you let him have the ball? What is up with that Stumpy?
Oh a nice cool down in the water.. Wish we could be there to play with you. We could help but notice green grass.. You must be in heaven Stumpy...
Enjoy your time...

I am sorry I have not been following your journey out of dirtville. I have been in a mood, not suitable as company. But I think I may be better and back onboard. I need to get to work, but I will come back later and catch up on the travels.
