I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Stumpy's neglected

Dirtville is a sprawling community tied together by a series of dirt roads. Locals accurately describe the roads as washboards. They are bumpy, to put it mildly.

Speaking metaphorically,Stumpy and I have run into a few bumps in the road, recently. Poor Stumpy has been left home way more than we would like. Things are almost back to normal. It may be another week or so before we can get back to reading, commenting and posting.

Many thanks to those who have checked in! Knowing we have been missed brought much needed smiles!

Stumpy's friend Baby did come over to visit one day. Stumpy was happy to see her. Baby? Not so much...

*disclaimer
Stumpy has three kennels around the house. This is her first kennel, purchased when she was 6 months old and the one she prefers.

It's hard to share a space with a TCFW princess.

Time for the roads to have a whole lot less bumps. Paws crossed for things to get back on track soon.

Jan, I had to google TCFW. "Too Cool For Words" definitely describes my little princess. Especially after she's been left home, too many days in a row. More like FROZEN.

Wyatt and Stanzie, I wish that were the case and I know Stumpy does, too! Spending the summer in dirtville is not on the list of things we want to do!

Barbara, She'll be back ASAP! We miss our blog friends and HATE being out of the loop!

Stella, Jo and Z! We sure appreciated you checking up on us!

Brenda, Stumpy doesn't mind her kennel as long as the door is left open. I worry that the AC will shut down while I'm away. Besides it's too freaking hot to be driving around the desert.

Gizmo, Bart and Ruby, I'm just hoping for no more bumps...

Ernie,Sasha,Chica,Lucas, & Mom, I've never been a big fan of "normal" but a few less bumps would be nice.

Kari NOT FAIR! BC got lessons in cute from two masters of cute!

Sugar, we're glad to be back, if only for the day.

Carey, it's nice to be home for a change. Baby probably did snap at Stumpy. She's not a fan.

OP Pack, I do ok with one bump at a time, but when they start piling up... Thanks for check in!

I even checked out the other blog to see if you had become full time gypsies and I had somehow missed the announcement.
I hope some of your running around the desert results in good things for you.
How are things going with new neighbors and pups?

The Newfs also try to fit into smaller kennels (left out for cats to hide in) so I have to think there may be good memories attached.

I have to share computer time for a few days so have a wonderful 4th July weekend!

Dogsmom, I'm still looking for the silver lining to attach itself to the past few weeks. Hopefully it will turn up soon! You have a happy 4th, too!

Dogs named Baby are Divas. I had a beautiful, all natural black and tan Dobie named Baby, and she was a total Diva. (And I miss her and that attitude!) So tell Stumpy not to take any lack of enthusiasm Baby has when seeing her to heart. "Baby"s are just that way.

We were starting to get concerned, too. We figured it was way too hot for another RV vacation. Then we started to worry you were in the path of one of those monster fires. Hope things are better soon.

Lorenza, Thanks! We're glad to be sliding downhill, now.

Helen, Stumpy plays the diva card when it suits her needs. I don't think she liked being trumped!

Booker, we hope so, too! Thanks!

FPS, It's all temporary, isn't it?

Roo, It's good to be back!

Sophie, ^5!

Jed and Abby, thankfully we are way north of those horrible fires. You're right it's way to hot to be traveling. That's part of the problem.

Happy, Waggin' Tails, FUREVER!
