I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.
For me they are the role model for being alive.

The Gang's (almost) all here
Most of the Dome Rock Pack arrived in Quartzsite, Arizona in early January.
Stumpy was late to the party, but it was still going strong when we arrived. And yes, we did kidnap Fenway.
Homer's here!
;
And Stella
The Dome Rock Pack would not be complete without Rain!
Tony arrived full of love and kisses for everyone!
And Mia is here, too.
Tori arrived safely

And Ishe, too!
Stetson was here, but left before we arrived.
Dina left early, too. But we hope to catch up with her in New Mexico.
We missed one pack member in particular, though.
Matriarch, Kelly, is running on the other side of the bridge. No doubt bossing everyone around and keeping everyone in line.
The Dome Rock Pack missed you!
Next up, the NEWBIES! And there were LOTS of them!

Stumpy's new boyfriend
Do you recognize him?
Need a hint?

You got nuthin?
How's this?
Hey! Look up here!
UP HERE!!!
Never mind. See if this helps.
OK. One more hint.
It's Big Carl!
Stumpy, Fenway and I met Kari, Tori, Mesa, Bailey and BC at one of the local dog parks. A good time was had by all!
This young man was passing out back rubs and had a constant line of hopefuls
Thanks for meeting up with us, Kari and crew!

Stumpy is wandering
That's right! We've managed to leave dirtville in the dust and will begin to live our life on the road, come Monday, hopefully.
C'mon aboard and enjoy the adventures!

You can read about our narrow escape, from dirtville, on my RVing blog, here.
The curse of the cattle guard seems to have a pretty far reach so we didn't get as far as we had hoped. We're outside of Las Vegas, now, getting a few repairs done to the moho.
On Monday, We plan on kidnapping Kuzzin' Fenway

and we'll meet up with the Dome Rock Pack, in Quartzsite Arizona. Stumpy's posse has begun to party without her and she is NOT pleased with the delay!

Two Very Good Reads
written by Neil Abramson
Stumpy gives this book five out of five kitties
A very good read! This book was compared, by many, to Racing in the Rain. It's a book that made me laugh and cry. Definitely pick up a copy!
written by Caroline Knapp
Stumpy gives this book four out of five kitties. Only because she prefers story time to actually learning something.
This book was a real eye opener for me. I even saw myself! The author relates our life experience, and her own, to the manner in which we relate to our dogs. It's an interesting concept and one I think many can and will relate to. I wished I had found this book earlier, when I was training dogs professionally. I think it would have really helped me to deal with some of the human behavior!
If you question or are interested to know why your dog behaves in some ways, you might find the answer in this book.
