I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Sunday's snooze

was delayed to make dozens and dozens (and dozens and dozens) of tamales, 25 pounds of beef worth of tamales; a tradition in the southwest, for the holidays.

One of about 15 trays. These haven't been steamed, yet.

Baby helped Stumpy with floor-washing duties

By the time we got home Stumpy was whupped and went right to bed chair

She was out like a light in no time.

Approximately 5 hours later a dozen steaming (literally) hot (as in seasoned to perfection) tamales were delivered to my door

Dinner's ready!

My cat would have shredded the singing toy and then started looking for the perpetrators.

That kitteh sure can catch some air when properly motivated. Too funny! I would nap too if there were foodables that take 87 hours to cook.

Barbara, sure! C'mon by!

Norwood, you are the hottest dog we know!

24 Paws, ummmmm.... I don't think they travel well. You'll have to come here.

Bronson and Pepper! We're so glad you came by! DOH#2 has a reason, now, to visit dirtville!

Jan, Stumpy sure would have gone back for it!

Heelers, she was on floor duty! Of course she had her share! (She's a lot bigger and faster than Baby)

Dogsmom, We checked it out, as requested. Unfortunately, because of our (lack of) mail situation, we don't participate in things that require recieving mail.

Khyra, Glad you liked the kitty. It about killed me.

Thundering Herd, the chair is MORE perfect with her in it!

Wyatt, Tamales are awesome no matter where they came from. Though I have to say gilbert, who's house we are at is something of an artist when it comes to smoking, grilling and cooking meat.

Sandra, Don't you hate that? You don't happen to have Frontier, too, do you? My internet is sucking! I love that I know you were here!

Stella, We only have a dozen, well, 8 now. But your welcome to come by!

Tula, You better hurry they are going fast!

Mango, They take forever, but they are sooooooo worth it. (Especially when the making takes place at someone elses house and they do all the cooking!)

Those look so yummy! I have yet to try a tamale, actually. They just aren't a common dish up in the Great White North. I'll have to head down there one of these days because that plate is rather tempting...

Brenda, a froze most of them, come by anytime!

Sallie, I hope there are some left! Alien might get Hormel's

Kristine, I was a tamale virgin until just a few years ago. Wyatt says they have them at Costco!
