When I sent this picture out, to friends and family, I got a lot of feed back about how happy Stumpy looks, and what a great smile, etc. The truth of the matter is she was crazed and exhausted!
My one S'tar, Deb, guessed right. It was the hat that pushed her over the edge and although I thought I had video of the first time I put it on, when I checked the SD card, it wasn't there. Symptoms of a camera in it's death throes or video/photographer (I use those terms loosely) error? Either is possible.
The video shown, below, does not begin to touch the level of craziness that ensued when Stumpy wore the hat and collar for the first time. I didn't put the hat on her again.
Don't forget your canines at Christmas! paybacks are a *@#$%!^&!!

The Animals of YouTube do it, again! As seen on the Daily Treat

I loved receiving your photo, and I saw Stumpy's grin as happiness. But now that you mention it... Stumpy does have that wild look in her eye, ya know?
CRAZY does NOT begin to describe any part of this!
I'm guessing Halloween isn't a big favorite with Stumpy either.
Poor crazed Stumpy. The video did crack me up though...I hate to admit it. She was ready to tear into that collar! Stumpy, I hope you got lots of liver treats for that!
Elyse (and Riley)
We still think she has a great smile. Mom took Phantom's bandana collar off almost immediately because he is so easily stressed. But Ciara decided that TD didn't need one either as she removed it from his neck and proceeded to zoom around the yard with it. She, on the other hand, still has hers on.
Happy Holidays to all.

I love that third video. I showed it to my husband and he couldn't stop laughing. Been there. Oh, have we been there.
It's interesting, to me anyway, how we interpret facial expressions. To a human a wide open mouth and eyes, lips pulled back, generally means happy. To a dog - not so much. At least not always.
But, seeing a photo like that does make a whole lot of humans smile! So that's something. :-)
That picture is worth all of the trouble. It's priceless! All of those puzzles you give Stumpy are paying off, that collar was no match for her!
I am laughing so hard at both Stumpy AND the white bedroom video!!!!!!!!!
Stumpy we would have tried to kill that collar too. Great job at finally getting it off..
We love the dirty dog video.. hehe we could see Callie doing that...

Whenever you can really see the whites of a dog's eyes, it's almost certain they are NOT happy. Oh, the things we do to our fur friends!
Loved the videos!

We love your photo!
In the video, it seems that you are not very fond of the collar.
you look like crazy!
Unfortunately, my internet is slow AGAIN so I can't watch the videos, but it looks like Stumpy has enough energy in that picture to power a small town! What a crazy little girl!
Haha, Stumpy! You showed that stupid elf collar. I KNOW from pawsonal experience how annoying those silly things are that the humans try to put on us. But, um, well...I can't help it. I smile EVERY time I see that picture of you. You're just too darn cute!
I hope you all have the very merriest Christmas EVER!

You can hide out here until the holidays are over, Stumpy.
Yes, that photo is an automatic insta-grin inducer!
