I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Stumpy's working overtime / Tuesday's Tasty Treat (#10 )

The nights have been pretty mild, so Stumpy's been staying up late watching for coyote and other marauding predators

That makes for a pretty sleepy Stumpy, the next day.

Nevertheless, there are chores that must be done.

The recycling must be cleaned

Fortunately for Stumpy she has the ability to multi-task. She can catch rid the house of flies while preparing for her nap

How is Stumpy going to feel about sharing that Jif jar? ;)

Another?!? Really? I love that kind of news. :)

We keep waiting to get our paws on one of those pb jars. How do we do it, Stumpy? Mom says she probably needs to have three empty ones before we get a try:(

We are enjoying our time on the deck at night too - cool nights are the best.

Rottrover, Stumpy is all about the work! (yeah, right!)

Kari, It's a good thing there was peanut butter involved!

Elyse and Riley, She's a champ, isn't she?

Wyatt, someone's got to do it!

Barbara, thank goodness for our 4-legged helpers, huh?

Sandra, I know. Someone ought to arrest me for abuse. Nice to see you out visiting! I hope that means your feeling better.

Jan, She is a wonder, alright.

LWD, I'll make suure theres enough peanut butter jars for everyone! Ssssssh... we don't want my landlord to find out!

OP Pack, We'll have blogland send you there recycling. The temperatures are perfect here, 24/7, this time of year!

I understand you are tired, Stumpy!
Keeping an eye on intruders and then doing the recycling thing is not easy, right?

You're one busy pup! Er I'd probably suck that tongue in a bit. Don't want the flies to mistake it for fly paper ;) Just sayin ;)

Cleaning out the JIF jar sounds like a much better job than coyote watching.

Nights have been mild here, too. No wonder the dogs sleep all day!

It's a hard job, eh Stumpy? I am so glad you have found a way to incorporate work and play and sleep. You've got some skills. Any advice?

Catching flies is fine, Stump, but watch out for those colorful Lady Beetle Bug types. They are bitter and often they bite back too.

Cyndi and Stumpy said...

TH, coyote watch is more stimulating, I think.

K9 and grace, I appreciate her efforts.

Brenda, and the days have been glorious (if one discounts the wind) Hasn't it been grand?

Kristine, Isn't she a wonder? her advice never changes, with a treat she might tell.

dogsmom, the ladybugs don't interest her. another non-native species, grrrrr!

If Stumpy's head were any smaller, she may get it stuck in that peanut butter jar. Lucky for her, she's got a lot of brains! Such a helpful and beautiful character she is. Coyotes? Not the wildlife critter of choice for most back yards. You sure live in an interesting area. :-)

That PB jar is Stella's idea of work too. Now if we can figure out how to charge for it, she can buy her own PB and squeak toys :)

Susan, I like that plan!
