I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Monday Memories

It's been just over a year since Alf first made himself at home, in Stumpy's favorite chair.

We haven't heard from him, lately. But he's never far from our thoughts. I did talk to his Mom after Christmas. His sweet sister Sophie had to under go ACL surgery and then they were headed to Oklahoma for the winter. I think they will be returning in April. Stumpy and I are planning to head to the beach to visit with them and my sister.

Alf was a lot of things, but mostly he was stinkin' adorable. Below are pictures from a Sunday Snooze that had never been posted

If you're a new visitor to our blog, The Berner (now known as Alphonso Bernard Jacob Scout Billy Bob Berner)was a semi-feral dog trying to survive in the Mohave Desert.

Through the Pawer of the Paw, Alf has a family of his own. He's living the good life, well-loved and happily ever after, in sunny SoCal.

The Berner's story can be read in the posts listed below, in chronological order. Or Alf's story can be read by clicking his picture on my side bar.

What a sweet success story. Dogs can pay us back so much for human kindness.

OP Pack, I can't wait to see Alf again, either! There will definitely be an update and pictures

Barbara, the whole saga was full of little miracles!

Sandra, I cry, too, when I think of him. Alf is yet another case of, "Who rescued who?"

Jan, he payed us back ten fold, for sure!

Carey, He sure did! He's such a handsome boy!

Khrya, A classic story full of ups, downs, tears and laughter!

Rottrover, I have no doubt that there Alf had an angel named Einstien making sure everything went according to plan.

Kari, Awesome dog = awesome story!

Wow, I can't believe it's been more than a year since you first met him! It seems like it was just yesterday that I was reading updates about him.

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Riley on Friday and all the well-wishes for Chloe!! :)

Sallie, I'll always cherish the memories.

Wyatt and Stanzie, the camera with charged batteries will be first on the list. I can't wait for he and Stumpy to reunite!

Lorenza, I cherish alf's time with us and the memories, too!

Tula, alf is always on our mind. Every day i am hoping for a pupdate. It snowed here, too. We wish you had kept it in massachusetts.

Roo, It couldn't be soon enough!

Every dog deserves that safety and comfort of pack life - never the solo life. So glad he's able to snooze soundly now.

We love the top photo of Alf (always Billy Bob Berner to us).
You brought us a gem to read about every day. And you and Stumpy deserve our applause for not giving up on Alf/BBB.
We miss him, too!
