I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Goooooood Morning! Happy Monday!

Are you awake?

It's 5am, already! I'm hungry!

Retired? What's that?

Well, I just thought an early breakfast might be in order

Wait! You're sure you don't want to get up, yet?

I suppose, if you're sure, I can wait just a little while longer...

*this series of photos took place with Stumpy on my gut, at 5am

When Princess was younger, I couldn't let her see my eyes open or she'd be all over me jumping and wiggling! Now that she's a senior (along with me) she lets me sleep till I'm ready to get up.

Of course, I can happily say that those days will be over tomorrow - finally!!!

Stumpy you would fit right in at our house. We are usually up & HUNGRY by 5. Sometimes the humans manage to convinceus to sleep until 6.
You have a very expressive face!!!

And this would be why my dog sleeps in her kennel. She gets me up every day at five-thirty as it is. That's early enough!

Cute shots, though, good thing you had a camera ready!

Stumpy, it's a good thing you're so darn cute! Enough said.

Riley used to want to get up at 5 AM when she was a little puppy because that's what time they got fed on the farm... She sleeps until about 7:00-7:30 AM nowadays and that's still too early for me! Good luck getting Mom up so early, Stumpy!

Norwood, I don't think it was quite a inute. and yes, you're on all of our lists!

Phyllis, I NEVER open my eyes first! Yay for going back to work! I'll be thinking of you!

Terrorzinhos, I guess I'll be grateful there's ony one of Stumpy and she's not as big as

bbes tribe, In the summer we're up at 4, in the winter it's too dark and too cold to bother!

Wyatt, Maybe you can convince her!

Khyra, Sometimes ZI wonder if Stumpy seeps at all... I see her dozing but a real sleep? Never happened yet!

Kristine, Stumpy lies to have options. I try to keep the camera close all the time.

Carey, A DAMN good thing!

Elyse, I am grateful she's not still on east coast time. That adjustment took awhile!

There's no such thing as a holiday when you're subject to a canine's schedule. Perhaps you can catch a nap with Stumpy later...

Stella Bella is a perfect sleeper in-ner. She never gets up until 8 or 8:30 and then she never goes outside for business until about 11 am. I think it is that long time she spent in the slammer and their hours, but whatever, I like it!

Cheers and hugs,

Jo

Well, at least you don't smack her in the head with your paws when she doesn't move fast enough. Give it a try. It has an amazing effect.

Yes, indeed, 5 AM is the proper time for breakfast. Otherwise a dog might totally starve to death. Am I right?

Of course I send PeeWee to do the cracker dog waking up.

EXCELLENT, Stumpy! Do you hire out?
Mom could make a mint off of making plastic clones of you and selling them. Add a bit of bad breath, some drool, and you'd be totally marketable to dogless families residing in apartments, etc.

Stumpy, you are always the best!

Heeler's, the Red's must be like Stumpy. In a hurry to begin the day!

K9friend, We willllll, undoubtedly, be napping later!

Barbara,Thanks for visiting! I actually preferr waking up to a dog on my head compared to some of the other things with whcih I have woke. Let's not go there!

Tula, I can lease her to you, but not until after the winter. she doesn't do cold and snow!

LWD, there's a cure?

Stella, Stumpy does usually sleep in, at least when it's cold out. I don't know what got into her yesterday morning!

Jed and Abby, I just didn't get any pictures of that.

Roo, and she's got the "talking" ears thing to help communicate! It's not too often that I can't figure out exactly what she's thinking.

Mango, it's dark. How do you make breakfast in the dark?

Oh Brenda, I am sure I would end up with a class action lawsuit if I marketed this girl!

Oh, Stumpy. You poor, starved, neglected girl. Those humans can be awfully lacksy-daisy-call abouts getting up at a decent hour to gets us our breakfast. It's Most Impawtant that we stay on top of them (literally).
