I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Ummmm - apples (and, frankly, any other fruit laying on the ground) are awesome.

Stumpy, do you just love apples? Our Gus loves apples and cantaloupes. Hard to eat fruit in this house without his drool puddling on your feet!

YUM!

Way to go Stumpy- does she eat a good bit of it? The only fruit Stella's ever tried off the ground were wild persimmons; didn't last long. In fact, I'd say if dogs can make a (lemon) face, she made one. Nothing else that's on the ground gets by her though.

Ahh, if only I could feed the dogs on Apples alone! We have been collecting ours and leaving them at roadside for whomever stops and carries them away. Mainly hunters, seeding fields for deer.
I try not to think about the end result, rather that there are deer and horses enjoying them now.

It will be another few weeks before I visit regularly again and already I am a few posts behind!

Stumpy it would have been Mom doing the face plant while we chased a squirrel. Dad does his dirt digging stuff while we are at the lake. We have offered to help many times..
