I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Ha - just saw your comment on our blog - you hit a very big storm. We are having a wild one now. If you stayed in Lawrence overnight, you should be OK tomorrow to travel. If you are driving tonight, you will be going along with all the wicked weather. Yes, the humidity is horrendous. Safe travels.

It looks like traveling is wearing Stumpy out even if she does just have to ride along. She seems to be a good traveler though! We hope you have a safe trip and enjoy your time out East!

Thanks, Khyra, I'll be happier when we can get out of the car for more than a night! I'm sure Stumpy will be, too!

OP Pack, Missouri,Illinois, and Indiana have been just as bad without the thunder and lightning! Stumpy and I thought we were going to end up in Oz!

Wyatt, the AC is on full blast. We took route 70, hoping it would be a little cooler, We'll take 66 on the return trip.

Phyllis, not to worry! Stumpy watches my every move!

Sandra, she is waaaay to cute. Our first picture in green will be for you!

Norwood, Are you the only one that got it?

Carey, Stumpy is a seasoned traveler and does well riding, once she settles.

Bookerman, I wish we were stopping mre to enjoy the ride, but we'll do that on the way back.

Tula, That's MY cooler! Paws off and nose out!

Pat, safety first and always, thanks!

Elyse, Stumpy doesn't get worn out she gets wound up! Too much down time is not good for a cattle dog!

You can see the change in attitude.
At first skeptical, then resigned, settled and comfy, adventurous, and plumb wore out!
