I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

Tasty Treat Tuesday #1

Following Khyra's lead, we decided to do Tasty Tuesday, trying out new recipes and treats with Stumpy and Mr.B as my critics. Stumpy and the Berner are at two opposite ends of the pole when it comes to what they will eat. Stumpy likes almost everything except for fruits and vegetables. The Berner, on the other hand, sometimes has to be convinced something is edible.

I tried a cookie recipe using banana's, pumpkin and peanut butter as the main ingredients.

And we try again

Note:
Because blogger has eaten our friend Stella's blog, due to spam, I have changed the commenting parameters. I'm not happy about it. But I'd be less happy if blogger ate my blog. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Wow! Indy would have scarfed down that delectable treat in short order. Mr. B. seems very cautious!

Wow! Stella and Lorna would have been too fast to capture on camera! Looks like it was a pretty tasty treat!

Pat, I never met a dog that didn't like peanut butter! that Berner dog is fussy, though!

Khyra, I wanted to send some to you but Stumpy didn't want to share (what a surprise!)

Erica, Thanks for checking out our blog! Stumpy loves that recipe, but she loves almost everything!

Howard will eat anything. Grace, not so much. Grace & Bernie......kindred spirits. Howard & Stumpy.....food enemies!

Aw those were great. It is pretty common for dogs and cats that were feral or stray for a long time, having to hunt and look for any food they can find, to actually be a little cautious and picky when food is handed to them.

The Berner fits right in with you and Stumpy. It really touches deep into my soul when I see how far he has come with you.

Hugs to the 3 of you, and thank you so very much for caring for him.
Darn I must be emotional today,

Sandra, maybe Grace needs Bernie... I bet Stumpy and Howard would have a blast, when they weren't wolfing down their food.

T, I didn't know that! All the rehabs I've worked with have had voracious appetites, including Stumpy!
I'm having no luck at all with kenneling or leashwork, two important factors to get him to the vets.
