I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love.

For me they are the role model for being alive.

I know Stumpy has been good for the berner, but I also think he has been good for her. She sure is full of it!

I really don't think the Berner will be able to move on - unless it is to someone living very close to you. Stumpy needs visiting rights.

When you first got him, I figured that Stumpy, as an only dog, was either going to be indifferent to him or not like him. Boy, was I wrong! She can't get enough of this hunk.

I wish I could watch the whole video. If the first 20 seconds are any indication, it is filled with cuteness. %$%$@ Internet.

Khyra, sometimes Stumpy seems to get so frustrated trying to get this boy to move. but all my sympathy goes to the Berner.

T, they are an endless source of amusement!

Sandra, I totally agree. I do wish the Berner liked to move a bit more. I'm pretty sure Stumpy wishes the same.

dogsmom, there's only one person in dirtville i would trust with this dog, and they have already met the county limit, taking in strays.

Sam, Stumpy has always been pretty social and up until the last year I have always had two dogs. She's not so good at sharing, but she loves to play. The video will be here when you get your internet fixed. I'm hoping, for your sanity and grades, that's soon!

Heelers, do Louie and Gus put up with that abuse?

You've mentioned that he is off sometimes when he walks. This is when he was still wandering a lot. Do you think he might be sore and that's why he doesn't want to run and play?

The Berner keeps himself in a submissive position throughout the video. It's almost as though he really doesn't understand what it means to play. But I think he's learning!

Sandra, I had forgotten all about his limp! He really hasn't been gimpy at all since the last time he appeared to have been fighting. I see him running after rabbits and lately after Stumpy when we play ball. Still, that's a good point. I know some dogs are more stoic about pain than others and depending on the situation.

K9friend, When he plays with Stumpy I can't help but think of him in dogfights with the ferals and wondering how he survived at all!

Stumpy, I think you are related to our Toby. Your tail never stops and you can't pick on people (er, dogs) your own size! And I bet you NEVER have a bad day in your life, do you??
